Joe Pesci and Lindsay Lohan are the latest names aboard Nick Cassavetes’ John Gotti biopic, the producers – along with Cassavetes and star John Travolta, as John Gotti – revealed at a press conference here today in New York City.

As previously reported, John Travolta is onboard to play the one-time Gambino crime family head. And by the looks of his tummy, he’s already well into prepping for the part.

“Gotti : Three Generations”, which begins shooting in October, has secured the services of the formerly-retired Pesci to play John Gotti Sr’s deputy Angelo Ruggiero, according to the panel. Lohan, no stranger to handcuffs herself, is in talks to play a specified role in the film.

The producers say the film will show that Gotti wasn’t just a criminal but a real person… with real feelings… and real problems. They say they’re going to explore the ‘victimized’ side of the man. Hmmm.

This thing is getting more interesting by the day…
