We’re going to start hearing more and more about “The Dark Knight Rises” as it inches towards the screens – and most of it, no doubt, will be courtesy of Michael Caine. Meantime, there’s quite a few little ‘Bat’ bits taking up residence on the web; here’s a summary :
A football game will feature in Christopher Nolan’s super sequel.
On Location Vacations reports :
On August 6, The Dark Knight Rises will be filming a scene in Pittsburgh involving a football game between the Gotham Rogues and the Rapid City Monuments and they need fans to cheer on these teams for the shot! Participants will get to be a part of the action which will include stunts, explosions and special effects. And even though this isn’t a paid gig, everyone will get free food throughout the day and a chance to win great raffle prizes between takes!
A sound-recordist and Boom Operator tweeted that the ‘Bat-Copter’ may make it’s Nolanverse debut in the picture :
‘The Dark Knight Rises': Inside Info, they are Building 2 Attack Helicopters in the same design as the Bat Mobile from The Dark Knight! BOOM
There’s also some talk over at HollywoodLife about what Anne Hathaway’s ‘Catwoman’ costume will look like :
“Anne’s outfit is more tactical, like the comic book, than the previous Batman movies,” a source very close to the costume design tells us exclusively. “She will definitely be wearing the goggles and it’s going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costumes. She’s going to look more like a robber.”
Adds the insider, “But fan boys shouldn’t be worried. This costume is going to be form-fitting enough to make Anne look smoking hot.”
And finally, and this one’s a goodie to end on, there’s a video doing the rounds of Hathaway and Christian ‘Batman’ Bale filming the movie (look the Bat and the Cat are holding hands!) :
