Another day, another cast member added to Zack Snyder’s ”Superman: Man of Steel” cast. This time around, actor Harry Lennix, who’s best known for his role in TV’s ”Dollhouse” as Boyd Langton and ”The Matrix Reloaded” and ”The Matrix Revolutions” as Lock, has joined the ever-growing ensemble.
According to Variety, Lennix will take on the role of General Swanwick, a character that has never been introduced in the DC comics so it’s safe to say it looks like Snyder has him up as an original in the flick.
Lennix joins a cast that already includes Henry Cavill as Superman himself, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Jonathan and Martha Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon and Antje Traue as the villains, Zod and Faora, Julia Ormond and Russell Crowe as Superman’s Kryptonian parents Jor-El and Lara and Christopher Meloni in an unspecified role as a military officer.
Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures will release the film on December 12, 2012 and will soon begin production.
