Though the new film is said to be somewhat of a reboot of the franchise, Universal has confirmed that Joan Allen and Albert Finney will be reprising their roles from the previous “Bourne” films for the upcoming “Bourne Legacy”; the Tony Gilroy-directed flick sees Jeremy Renner slot into the amnesiac spy slot previously occupied by Matt Damon.

Finney will reprise his “Bourne Ultimatum” role of Dr. Albert Hirsch, a second principal antagonist of the film who ranTreadstone’s behavior modification program, while Allen will be back as CIA agent Pamela Landy, says The Hollywood Reporter.

“Bourne Legacy” stars Renner as a new spy with Rachel Weisz, Oscar Isaac and Edward Norton adding weighty support. Damon’s Jason Bourne character will apparently be referneced in the film, just not seen.
