The first look at Russell Crowe as Roman General Maximus Decimus Meridius Jor-El in director Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” is online – albeit, in ‘dude with long lens behind the bushes’ quality.

Nothing like the Jor-El of Dick Donner’s “Superman”, played by Marlon Brando with his assortment of white thread, Crowe’s Superdad seems to have been lifted straight out of Snyder’s “300″ rather than the pages of the DC comic where he originated.

Still, I’m guessing some folks will like it… and just as many won’t. What do you guys think?
