If Ivan Reitman’s “Fuckbuddies” was forced into a cleaner name change (in that case, “No Strings Attached”), then this one’s definitely got some soap aimed at its gob.

“He’s Fuckin’ Perfect” is a script that was snapped up by assistant (she worked for “Talladega Nights” helmer Adam McKay) cum writer, Lauryn Kahn. Not only did Kahn snag a sumly Fox2000 deal, but Emma Stone has agreed to headline the flick.

Deadline says :

The comedy focuses on a social media savvy girl who is pessimistic about love and vets her friends’ dates to find flaws. When that process leads her to uncover the perfect guy, she decides to use her internet research skills to turn herself into his perfect match. The film will be produced by Gary Sanchez’s McKay and Will Ferrell. The Gary Sanchez team helped her hone the script and gave her notes to help shape it.

The trade says the spec script wasn’t being shopped around; Kahn merely sent it to Gary Sanchez Productions in the hope they could get Stone attached before going out to studios. Script got leaked. Fox2000 got a copy. Kahn got rich. Stone got another ‘Fuckin’ Perfect’ role.
