Felicity Jones, the young lass who has been winning raves for her role in “Like Crazy”, is Warren Beatty’s top choice to play Howard Hughes’ love interest in the actor-director’s untitled film about the reclusive industrialist.
Deadline says ”Jones will play a young woman who develops a relationship with Hughes’s young driver and confidante, before she falls in love with Hughes. Beatty, who’ll direct and who wrote the script, will play Hughes.”
Justin Timberlake and Alden Ehrenreich are rumoured to be in the running for the lead role, while Beatty’s wife Annette Bening, old bud Jack Nicholson, Alec Baldwin and Owen Wilson have also been whispered for parts.
Though it’s still got to lock in it’s financing, after Paramount dropped out, Beatty’s forging ahead with casting. Guessing he can simply bankroll it himself from the residuals on “Shampoo”.
