Channing Tatum may reteam with “Magic Mike” director Steven Soderbergh for the long-gestating “Man from U.N.C.L.E”, reports Deadline.

Tatum would take over for the slightly-older George Clooney who bowed out because he’s having surgery and would’ve been up to jumping and leaping from buildings. Bradley Cooper was being courted to replace Clooney but that didn’t work out.

The movie, based on the 1964 TV series of the same name, told of the two top agents of the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement who fight the enemies of peace, particularly the forces of THRUSH.
