We’re getting a remake of Starship Troopers?!

“Starship Troopers” is heading to the big screen again, and no, not a re-run of the original, or even a sequel. The film might only be 14 years old, but Hollywood’s decided it’s already time for a re-make!

Vulture says one of Sony’s producer extraordinaires Neal Moritz has already asked script-writers Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz to work on a new version of the Paul Verhoeven classic.

Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz have penned scripts for “X-Men: First Class” and “Thor”, and are working on the rumoured “Top Gun” sequel – so it could be a grittier, less satirical re-make.

What do you think? Is the world desperate for another round of Bug-fighting? Should there be cameos from the original stars Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards, Dina Meyer and Neil Patrick Harris?
