“X-Men: First Class” star Zoë Kravitz and “Hotel Rwanda” starlet Sophie Okonedo are in early talks to join Will Smith and Jaden Smith in M. Night Shyamalan’s “1000 A.E.”

In the sci-fi action adventure, humans no longer able to live on Earth after it becomes inhospitable. Will Smith will be playing a hero (of course), while Jaden portrays his son, considered a failure as a warrior. When the two crash-land on Earth, it is up to the son to save the dad.

Who’ll be the hero now? Is that M. Night’s twist? Dun, dun!

If deals are made, Kravitz would play Smith’s daughter, while Okonedo will portray his wife.

Although Gary Whitta, Shyamalan and Stephen Gaghan worked on the script, Stephen Gaghan recently completed a polished version of the script. Shyamalan had rewritten the screenplay to fit his needs, but Gaghan was tasked with getting the script in shooting shape.

Filming is expected to begin in February and will be released sometime in June 2013.
