After teasing us with a poster that looks like 1979’s “Alien” and some footage that also stunk of Ripleyisms, 20th Century Fox has finally released an equally Alien-ish teaser for Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus”.

Starring Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba and Guy Pearce, “Prometheus” follows a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery. And yes, it’s an “Alien” prequel, without flat-out designating itself one.
Here’s the trailer, oh and
Empire has also released our first headshotish look at Michael Fassbender in the flick.
The film will open in theaters on June 8, 2012. Head over to Apple to check out the trailer in HD.
