Bruce Willis doing di Bonaventura’s Wild Bunch-style shoot ’em up

Bruce Willis doing di Bonaventura’s Wild Bunch-style shoot ’em up

“Transformers” producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura says Bruce Willis will likely be playing one of the lead roles in the new shoot ’em up “Five Against the Bullet”.

di Bonaventura, who also produced Willis’s “Red”, tells Collider the script is “really great and I think I have a shot at making a movie that will pay homage to movies like The Wild Bunch or The Magnificent Seven. It’s a hardcore shoot-em up with men of questionable morality coming up against maybe their humanity as a result of it. I’m really excited about that because those movies are really hard to make because they can veer into just an action picture or they can speak to you in a way that’s different, where you can get underneath the character. I aspire more to The Wild Bunch and The Magnificent Seven and hopefully we can pull it off.”

The producer says there’s half-a-dozen roles in the film, one of which is fit for a big-name cameo.

“…there are five really great characters, so that’s what’s really fun. There’s actually a sixth character that is sort of a cameo that’s really interesting too. I think we’re going to be able to put together a very eclectic international cast and Sony is going to do the picture.”

So, how about we get Bruce, Arnold and Sly back together!?
