“Hunger Games” fans will yet again be delighted to see that another still image from the film has been released over the weekend, thanks to “Hunger Games” fansite Down With The Capitol.

The still image, featuring Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) and Effie (Elizabeth Banks), shows the trio sitting on a plush leather sofa, presumably in the Training Centre (where Hunger Games Tributes are housed prior to the Games), watching something on television, most likely the Tribute’s Training Scores which are televised prior to the event itself.

Banks seems to have her portrayal of maniacally-bubbly, proprietary-obsessed Effie down pat, as she sits ramrod straight beside her two co-stars; again, sporting an outfit that manages to look both beautiful and hideous at the same time.

This is the first image we’ve seen of Harrelson where he’s pictured with a drink – the character of Haymitch is described as a chronic alcoholic – and he manages to pull off snarky and self-indulgent seemingly effortlessly in this shot.

Sitting perched with her legs tucked up on the sofa, Lawrence appears obviously uncomfortable in the presence of her District Escort and mentor, just as Katniss repeatedly affirms throughout the novel.

For those of you who have been living under rocks and don’t know what “The Hunger Games” is about”

““The Hunger Games” chronicles a dystopic Capitol which requires its twelve subjugated districts to pay tribute in the form of a teenage boy and girl, forced to participate in the annual “Hunger Games,” a fight-to-the-death live televised event. Katniss Everdeen’s little sister is chosen in the lottery to participate and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) volunteers to take her place. Although survival against the odds is commonplace for Katniss, she must start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love in order to win the games and return home.”

“The Hunger Games” hits cinemas on March 23.
