The Wrap says Simon Beaufoy, the Oscar Winning scribe of tallyhoicious statue-scorer “Slumdog Millionaire”,has been tapped to write “Hunger Games 2 : Still Starved” “Catching Fire”, the sequel to “Hunger Games”.

Beaufoy will be assisted by Gary Ross, the “Hunger Games” director who will be returning to direct the sequel, on scripting duties.

Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson and Liam Hemsworth are returning for “Catching Fire”- which already has a release date (amazing considering that first movie isn’t released for another two months; that’s confidence pop!) of November 23, 2013, the middle chapter in Suzanne Collins’ kid-battle saga.
