Noah

Russell Crowe may head back to the choppy seas, starring in Darren Aronofsky’s Noah’s Ark epic. Deadline, who reports the Crowe rumour, also suggests Liam Neeson might end up playing co-star.

Untitled Spike Jonze Project

Amy Adams, Carey Mulligan, Joaquin Phoenix and Samantha Morton are circling a new Jonze (“Where the Wild Things Are”) written/directed pic that’s “a satire about how world leaders gather to figure out all the seismic events that will take place in the worlds, from oil prices to wars that will be wage.” (Deadline)

“Man of Steel” actor Christopher Meloni is set to play Brooklyn Dodgers manager Leo Durocher in the Jackie Robinson biopic. Harrison Ford and Chadwick Boseman star in the Brian Helgeland directed picture. (Variety)

Director John Stockwell (“Blue Crush”) has cast Cam Gigandet, William Fichtner, Robert Knepper, Kenneth Miller, Anson Mount, Freddy Rodriguez, Eddie Kaye Thomas and Xzibit in his Seal Team Six movie. Gigandet, Knepper, Mount, Rodr√≠guez, Xzibit and Miller are the SEAL team, Robertson, Fichtner and Thomas serves as CIA operatives. (Variety)

Motor City

Batman alum Gary Oldman is playing a criminal kingpin in the Dark Castle revenge thriller being directed by Albert Hughes. Amber Heard and Dominic Cooper star in the pic “about a small-time hood who is framed and sent to prison, only to exact revenge years later to get back the woman he loves.” (THR)

Romeo & Juliet

Tomas Arana, Christian Cooke, Damien Lewis, Lesley Manville, Natasha McElhone, Laura Morante, Stellan Skarsgard and Leon Vitali have joined the cast of the Carlo Carlei-directed adaptation of Shakespeare’s famous love story. (THR)

Everly

Kate Hudson will star in Joe Lynch’s thriller, the story of a woman trapped in her apartment by assassins looking to put a bullet in her ex-boyfriend’s head. (Variety)
