Josh Duhamel finally got himself a new project to work on. Deadline is reporting that the “Transformers” actor, along with Dan Fogler (“Take Me Home Tonight”) are set to star in Kevin and Michael Goetz’s “Scenic Route”. Written by Kyle Killen, the film follows two former college buddies who go on a road trip and become stranded in the desert. As they begin to realize they might never be rescued, they begin to have heated fights, both emotionally and physically.
Killen is best known for writing 2009’s “The Beaver”, which starred Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson…and apparently nobody really watched but still got some good reviews here and there.
Killen also created the upcoming NBC series “Awake” which will premiere March 1. “Awake” follows a police detective who lives two alternating parallel lives, one with his wife and one with his son. The full episode can be seen here.
Duhamel was last seen in Garry Marshall’s “New Year’s Eve” and will next star alongside Rosario Dawson and Bruce Willis in “Fire with Fire”. Fogler meanwhile is currently co-directing and producing the film “Don Peyote” through his production company Studio 13, which he co-founded.
