Clive Owen, Billy Crudup and Mila Kunis Have Blood Ties

Quite a cast is lined up for this film! THR is reporting that Clive Owen, Billy Crudup, Mila Kunis, James Caan, Marion Cotillard and Zoe Saldana are all set to star in the crime thriller “Blood Ties”.

Set to be directed by Guillaume Canet (2010’s “Little White Lies”), the film centers on a younger brother (Crudup) who has to ask his convict older brother (Owen) to go back into the underworld to help out the family. Kunis and Cotillard play love interests. It’s also being reported that “Bullhead” star Matthias Schoenaerts has an offer for a role.

If the financing comes together, the movie will head for an April start in New York. The project previously had Mark Wahlberg.

The film is said to be an adaptation of the French novel titled Les liens du sang. Canet wrote the screenplay with James Gray, who wrote the script for ’07’s “We Own The Night” which starred Wahlberg, Joaquin Phoenix and Eva Mendes.
