Universal rebooting The Mummy franchise

Universal rebooting The Mummy franchise

Though the last film in the franchise is still warm (only being three years post-release), Universal is rebooting their Brendan Fraser-starring “Mummy” franchise.

John Spaihts (“Prometheus”) is co-writing the reboot, says The Hollywood Reporter.

1999’s “The Mummy” spawned two sequels plus a series of spin-off films centering on the character of ‘The Scorpion King’.

The only carry-over from the previous films seems to be producer Sean Daniel.
