Murphy Brown returning to TV?

’80s and ’90’s TV sensation “Murphy Brown” may be returning to the air.

CBS is in talks with creator Diane English and star Candice Bergen to resurrect the sitcom for a few episodes.

English tells TV Guide, “I’d love to have the show back on during this election year…We’re having a little conversation with CBS about a few episodes, and I think it’s possible. Candice knows about it, and we’re going to talk to her more in July once she wraps her Broadway play [‘The Best Man.’]”

“Murphy Brown”, which ran from 1988 to 1998, also starred Charles Kimbrough, Grant Shaud, Pat Corley, Faith Ford, Robert Pastorelli and Scott Bakula.
