Cole Hauser, somewhat of a go-to villain for studio fare these days (having appeared in rogue roles in the likes of “Pitch Black”, “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “The Hit List”), has snagged a bad guy part in the latest “Die Hard” flick.
“A Good Day to Die Hard” will be Hauser’s third flick with Bruce Willis, following “Tears of the Sun” and “Hart’s War”.
In the John Moore directed sequel, Willis’s John McClane has to head to Russia to help his son combat some terrorists. Aussie Jai Courtney plays Jack McClane.
Deadline says Hauser is playing Collins, a “pivotal” villain role in the picture, though no details are available on the specifics of his character.
Assumingly he’s one of the Yankee thugs caught up in the Russian debacle.
Speaking of, I just found a Russian news report on the flick here – it features a peek at the film’s logo, sets and a couple of other bits and bobs.
And here’s another couple of set videos, taken in Budapest
Finally, I’m hearing that Bonnie Bedelia may be making an appearance in the film as Holly, McClane’s estranged ex-wife. A scene at the beginning of the film, taking place in New York, is said to feature her. Willis has long wanted to bring Bedelia back, so got chance this Intel is correct. But can’t get any solid confirmation on that yet. Guess we’ll find out in due course…
“A Good Day to Die Hard” is out Valentine’s Day, 2013.
