Jury’s still out on whether it was a good idea ditching Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man 4″ – which would’ve seen Anne Hathaway and John Malkovich wear baddie badges – for an out-and-out reboot, with essentially no links to the original “Spider-Man” trilogy besides a radioactive insect. But in a couple of months, we’ll have our answer.
Andrew Garfield’s sure to be great as Spidey – at least he looks the part, anyway – but what of Rhys Ifans (‘Spike’ from “Notting Hill”) as Dr Curt Connors? Think he’ll work in the doc-cum-lizard part? Here’s a new clip to sway you in one direction…
