RoboCop to propose to Aussie actress Abbie Cornish

Who played the ‘wife’ in the original “RoboCop”? I can’t remember either; in fact, I can’t even remember what she looked like.

Indication that the remake is going to beef up that role comes in the form of a report suggesting Australian actress Abbie Cornish, a big-time star now thanks to her roles in “Limitless” and “Bright Star”, is in talks to play the part.

Joel Kinnaman plays Alex Murphy in the film, the detective who is shot-up and left for dead before being resurrected as a tin man. Cornish believes she’s now a widow.

Gary Oldman and Samuel L.Jackson would also star in the Jose Padhila-directed reboot.
