Shawn Levy and Oscar finally mentioned in the same sentence!

It’s been quite a few years since Big Bird went off to join the Circus in “Follow that Bird” (1985), as such the powers-that-be have decided it’s time to get ‘Bird’ and his friends back on the big screen!

The Hollywood Reporter says “Real Steel” director Shawn Levy is producing a new “Sesame Street” movie for Twentieth Century Fox.

Longtime show writer Joey Mazzarino is penning the script for the feature, which will see all of the small-screen favourites – like The Count, Ernie, Bert, Oscar the Grouch, Grover and, naturally, Elmo – take to the big screen.

Levy will no doubt try and bring some of his famous friends – like Ben Stiller, Hugh Jackman, Owen Wilson, Steve Martin and Robin Williams – to ‘Sesame Street’.
