Aaron Eckhart (“The Dark Knight”) will play the President of the United States in Antoine Fuqua’s “Olympus has Fallen”, says Variety.

The film stars Gerard Butler as an ex-Secret Service agent who must defend the President and his Palace from terrorists.

The Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt written picture is on the fast-track to compete with the similar-themed “White House Down”, which stars Channing Tatum.
