No doubt Marvel wants him too, considering what a commercial and critical success the first is.

Still, speaking at this morning’s ‘Firefly’ reunion panel, Joss Whedon says he’s not sure if he wants to do the follow-up to the 2012 blockbuster.

“I have not come to a decision on directing Avengers 2 yet. I am having too much fun with this (Firefly reunion) now.”

And fun Whedon most definitely had on that panel – but the panel showcased as many laughs, as it did tears, as Whedon, Fillon and Summer Glau all teared up upon being asked what the fans mean to the man behind “Firefly”, “Buffy”, “Dollhouse” and, of course, “The Avengers” movie.
