Pressing pause on his pricey-blockbuster career temporarily, Johnny Depp has opted to follow “The Lone Ranger” with Wes Anderson’s new talkie, “The Grand Budapest Hotel”.

Deadline says the flick, which “Moonrise Kingdom” helmer Anderson will write and direct, will likely be Depp’s next.

Depp wad due to star in a remake of “The Thin Man” for Rob Marshall next, but due to various hiccups (including the inability to settle on a female lead), that flick has been shoved back in the broom closet for a few more months.
