It’s confirmed. Sam Claflin (“Once Upon A Time”, “Snow White and the Huntsman”) is a lock to play Finnick Odair in “The Hunger Games : Catching Fire”.

The British actor’s name had only been linked to the role for a couple of days so he must give good screen test.

It’s been a big day for Claflin. In addition to “Hunger Games”, the actor has also been cast opposite Karl Urban and Emilia Clarke in the car-heist actioner “Overdrive” from Pierre More (“Taken”).

Deadline says the film tells of “two American brothers who decide to take their careers as car thieves to the next level by fleeing to the South of France, where they run afoul of a black marketeer.”
