Casting : Hirsch, Costner, Holloway, Stiller, Hill

“Lone Survivor”

Emile Hirsch (“Alpha Dog”) is in talks to join the Peter Berg NAVY Seal movie. Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch, and Ben Foster are already onboard the film, the story of a group of soldiers, stationed in Afghanistan, who are ambushed trying to take down a Taliban leader. (Variety)

Kevin Costner (“Man of Steel”) will star in the sports drama, from “Whale Rider” director Niki Caro, about a track team coach who coached to success a group made mainly of Latino’s. The film is based on a true story from the ’80s. (THR)

Robert Luketic’s corporate-business-thriller starring Harrison Ford and Liam Hemsworth has, in addition to announcing that it’s about to begin principal photography, added former “Lost” star Josh Holloway to its cast. In this high-stakes thriller, Adam Cassidy (Liam Hemsworth) is an ambitious junior technologist trying to climb the ranks of telecom giant Wyatt Corporation. But after one costly mistake, Adam is blackmailed by ruthless CEO Nicholas Wyatt (Gary Oldman) to turn corporate spy by going to work for the firm’s top competitor, which is run by Wyatt’s old mentor, Jock Goddard (Harrison Ford). Adam soon finds himself delivered into prepackaged success, living his fantasy life of old-world boardrooms, private clubs, exotic cars, and all the spoils of Manhattan bachelorhood. However, behind the scenes, he is merely a pawn in Wyatt’s power play, and must search for a way out from under his boss, who will stop at nothing, even murder, to gain a multi-billion dollar advantage.

Ben Stiller and Jonah Hill, two of the stars of the upcoming Fox comedy “The Watch”, may reunite for “Aloha”, a Nicholas Stoller-directed comedy also set up at Fox. The movie’s logline is being kept under wraps but the title suggests it’ll be some kind of island-getaway comedy. (THR)
