Michael Fassbender gets Frank

Michael Fassbender (”Prometheus”, “Shame”) is to topline new comedy movie “Frank”‘. He’ll be joined by Domhnall Gleeson (son of Brenden, who previously played Bill Weasley in ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ and features in the upcoming ‘Dredd)’. The picture tells of an aspiring musician, played by Gleeson, who joins a peculiarly eccentric rock band, which Fassbender is the front man.

The ‘Frank’ script is penned by Jon Ronson, who wrote the book ‘The Men Who Stare At Goats’ and Peter Straughan (”Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”) and directed by Lenny Abrahamson. It will be a Film 4 production with Runnaway Fridge / Element Pictures with seasoned executive producer David Barron leading the charge.
