She gets a lot of flack, especially lately what with her much-publicized affair with “Snow White & the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, but a return visit to “AdventureLand” last night reminded me that – well, besides the fact that Greg Mottola’s movie is one of the most criminally underrated films of recent times – there’s much more to the 22-year-old magazine darling than her effortless capacity to make headlines – she’s, in fact, one of today’s best young actresses.
If only to silence the sniggering minority who pass her off as a hot prop, due largely to her presence in the “Twilight” films (c’mon! they’re not that bad!), and/or those that don’t approve of her doing wrong by long-time beau Robert Pattinson, I’ve put together a video assemblage to point out just how talented the “On the Road” star is. I think you’ll agree, after watching these five clips, that Edward’s human companion that embodies just as much sparkle.
5 Great Kristen Stewart Performances :
Her free-spirited, extremely-likeable Em Lewin is one of the highlight’s on Kristen’s CV.
Even from such an early age, Stewart showcased such great potential. She’s one of the most memorable things in David Fincher’s “Panic Room”, holding her own and more so opposite screen Vet Jodie Foster.
Film didn’t find it’s audience; Stewart definitely found her cue though, giving a remarkable performance as a teenage runaway.
The clip below says it all ‘These Girls Can Really Play’. Stewart and co-star Dakota Fanning amplified their inner musician to play members of the all-girl group, The Runaways.
The actress shakes up her image, with her uninhibited, head-turning turn as Mary-Lou in the feature adaptation of “On the Road”. Good possibility Kristen will get some kind of award nod for this one!
So there you have it. Kristen Stewart does deserve her place on the Hollywood Star Map.
