Now that his commitment to TVs “Big Love” is beyond him, Bill Paxton’s back doing the kind of big league blockbusters that helped him put food on the table in his thirty odd years in the business. Set to join a filmography bearing such titles as “The Terminator”, “Aliens”, “Near Dark”, “True Lies” and “Tombstone” is “All You Need is Kill”, a Doug Liman directed actioner headlined by Tom Cruise.
Based on a Japanese graphic novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka , flick tells of a soldier who gets to relive the day of his death over and over. Paxton will play the stern platoon leader in the “Source Code” meets “Last Samurai” offering, says Variety.
Emily Blunt and Charlotte Riley also star in the WB production, set to lens in London later this year.
