James Bond’s ‘Q’ may help fight the Robopocalypse

Ben Whishaw, soon to be seen in “Skyfall” and “Cloud Atlas,” is up for Steven Spielberg’s “Robopocalypse” joining Chris Hemsworth and, potentially, Anne Hathaway.

The science-fiction movie, written by Drew Goddard and based on Daniel H.Wilson’s novel, is about a robot uprising.

Variety says “Whishaw has not received an official offer yet, but sources tell Variety that he has been at the top of DreamWorks’ list to play a hacker named Lurker since the casting process began.”

Disney and Fox share distribution rights on “Robopocalypse”, due in cinemas 2014.
