Veteran actor Rutger Hauer, somewhat of a staple of the vampire subgenre, is joining the cast of “True Blood”.
The star of bloodsucker-flicks “Dracula 3 : The Legacy”, “Salem’s Lot”, and “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” will play “Macklyn, a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason” in the show’s sixth season, according to TVLine.
Before we see Hauer’s on-screen turn in “True Blood”, he’ll be fronting Dario Argento’s “Dracula 3D” – if only for additional last-minute research and prac purposes.
