Full-length trailer for Save Your Legs! starring Brendan Cowell, Stephen Curry

Likely to be a balls up (in a good way), the new Oz comedy “Save Your Legs!” combines two of Australia’s most treasured commodities : the sport of Cricket and… Brendan Cowell.

Cowell, and others, play members of an Aussie cricket team who find themselves pitching in India.

The full-length trailer for the film, due for release January 24, is likely to ball you out. Check it!

Melbourne, 9 October 2012 – The first full length trailer for Australian comedy SAVE YOUR LEGS! has been released ahead of its first international screenings. SAVE YOUR LEGS! will have its international premiere in front of a sold out audience at the London Film Festival this week before screening later in the month at the Mumbai Film Festival. With English and Indian audiences both being cricket crazy, the film is sure to come home with runs on the board.

Producer Robyn Kershaw commented “Much like the film, our trailer is a hearty mix of comedy and the life-force inherent in India and in cricket lovers – for those who like to watch or play. Along the way we take a glimpse at the secret world of men – their thoughts about women, about children and each other”.

SAVE YOUR LEGS! will release on January 24th for the Australia Day long weekend, in the heart of the cricket season. The film will release simultaneously at metropolitan and regional locations around the country to ensure backyard cricketers everywhere will get the chance to have fun in cinemas on our nation’s day of celebration.

SAVE YOUR LEGS! is inspired by true events – a group of men who took a chance and won at life-long friendships. The cast includes Stephen Curry (The Castle, The Cup), Brendan Cowell (Beneath Hill 60, Noise) Damon Gameau (Balibo, Underbelly) and Bollywood beauty Pallavi Sharda. The film was directed by Boyd Hicklin and produced by Robyn Kershaw and Nick Batzias and written by Brendan Cowell.
