Clark Gregg is back as agent Phil Coulson in Marvel’s “S.H.I.E.LD” series, currently in production at ABC, Marvel announced today at New York Comic Con.

Gregg, who played the role in the recent crop of Marvel movie blockbusters, will have to be reintroduced to the superhero world in cunning fashion – considering the character was killed on-camera in the recent “The Avengers”.

Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen co-write the pilot.
