Seems “Glee” actor Chris Colfer is just as popular with the film studios as he is viewers of his top-rating weekly teen-talent-show-masquerading-as-soap. The young actor, who plays Kurt on Ryan Murphy’s somewhat groundbreaking series, is now making waves in the movie world – in particular, in the surprising arena of writing and producing.

Colfer’s film “Struck by Lightning”, which he wrote, produced and stars in, looks like it’s the first of many in what’s sure to be a successful career. Funny, touching and equipped with a great cast – including “Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks (also make a big name for herself in film), Dermot Mulroney (“My Best Friend’s Wedding”) and Aussie comedienne Rebel Wilson (“Pitch Perfect”) – it could be one of the highlights of 20-12.
