3. Max Landis is set to make his directorial debut with “Me Him Her”, a sexual identity comedy that the “Chronicle” scribe describes as “Reality Bites on acid”.

4. Shawn Levy has replaced Adam Shankman as director of “This is Where I Leave You”, about a dysfunctional family that reunites to sit the Shivah for seven days. Jason Bateman was originally attached to star, but left with Shankman.

5. Viola Davis (“Doubt”) has joined the cast of Denis Villeneuve’s “Prisoners” starring Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal.

6. Imogen Poots (“28 Days Later”) will join Zac Efron in the rom-com “Are We Officially Dating?”

7. New Images of Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx and Maggie Gyllenhaal in “White House Down” have surfaced (EW via HeyUGuys)

8. The Hollywood News says “The Muppets 2” will be using St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, while Collider has confirmed that the James Bobin-directed sequel begins filming in London in January, and that Bret McKenzie will be writing new songs for the movie.

9. The first still from “Last Vegas”, the new comedy starring Michael Douglas, Kevin Kline, Morgan Freeman and Robert De Niro, is online.

10. Some of “The Hunger Games : Catching Fire” will film in Hawaii, before the end of the year.
