Vin Diesel as Kojak?! Yes please!

Diesel is producing with an eye to starring in the feature film adaptation of the classic TV series, says THR. The “Riddick” star would take on the role made famous by Telly Savalas, who headlined the CBS series in the ’70s.

In addition to perfect casting there’s a great screenwriting duo onboard : Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the guys behind this year’s “SkyfalL”. Their presence suggests “Kojak” might likely possess as much action as it will character.

Universal, who Diesel works with on the “Fast and Furious” and “Riddick” franchises, have the film.
