3. Zack Snyder has denied reports he’s directing a “Star Wars” spin-off film said to be influenced by ‘The Seven Samurai’.

4. Michael Lesslie will adapt the upcoming “Assassin’s Creed” movie for New Regency.

5. New Stills of Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson in “The Hunger Games : Catching Fire” are online.

6. Jerry Lewis will star in director Daniel Noah’s ”Max Rose”, a “drama about a jazz pianist who has recently lost his wife of over five decades. A discovery made days before her death causes Max to believe his marriage was a lie. He embarks on an exploration of his own past, that brings him face to face with a menagerie of characters from a bygone era.”

7. Michelle Monaghan (“Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang”) is set as the female lead in the Matthew McConaughey/Woody Harrelson series “True Detective”.

8. The Winners of the 70th Annual Golden Globes follow. Great news for Ben Affleck’s “Argo”, what with the Warner Bros drama snagging best film and director.
