1. Gravitas Ventures has acquired worldwide VOD to ”Sound City”, the documentary by Nirvana and Foo Fighters rock god Dave Grohl.

2. The Jerry Bruckheimer/Mira Sorvino TNT series “Trooper” will not be going forward.

3. “Hunt for Red October” director John McTiernan is off to jail for his involvement in the wiretapping scandal.

4. TNT has picked up the new series, “King and Maxwell” starring Rebecca Romijn and Jon Tenney.

5. After months of negotiations, AMC is bringing back “The Killing” for a third season. The mystery at the center of this new season will be solved by the end of the third season.

6. “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone”, “Evil Dead”, “Drinking Budies”, “Downloaded”, and “Spring Breakers” will all be debuting at the SXSW festival.

7. Vendome Pictures announced today that it has acquired the spec script “The Widow” written by Ray Wright (“The Crazies”). The pic is an elevated psychological thriller that follows a young woman who befriends a lonely widow only to discover that their encounter was not a coincidence.

8. NBC has ordered a comedy pilot that will star Jessica Simpson the show will be loosely based on the pop singer’s own life. “I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life — so between the real-life elements and a great team of writers, I think we’ll have people laughing!,” Simpson said.

9. Though his spokesperson debunked the rumour, seems Zack Snyder might actually have met with Lucasfilm about doing a “Star Wars” spin-off.

10. Vin Diesel has revealed a new photo from “Fast and Furious 6″ over at his Facebook page.
