“Men in Black” director Barry Sonnenfeld will direct the pilot episode of the “Beverly Hills Cop” TV series, according to Deadline.

The CBS series is a spin-off of the popular Eddie Murphy-starring movies, with Murphy making a guest appearance in the pilot as the iconic Axel Foley.

Brandon T.Jackson headlines the show as Aaron Foley, Axel’s son, who works the beat as a cop in Beverly Hills. Kevin Pollak and David Denman are also onboard.
