Christian Bale is in talks to star in “Everest”, an adventure movie based on a true story, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Baltasar Kormakur’s movie ”tells the events of 1996 when two groups attempted to reach the summit and several events led to tragedy and disaster”, says the trade, adding that “Bale will play Rob Hall, the leader of a New Zealander group who ran Adventure Consultants. (Yes, “ran.” This is a tragedy, remember?)”.
The $20 million dollar project, set to film in Iceland in the Summer, will be co-financed by “Expendables” shingle Emmett/Furla.
