Kate Beckinsale (“Underworld”) is in talks to star in “Eliza Graves”, a pic based on the Edgar Allen Poe-created character.

The Psychological thriller is set up at Nu Image/Millennium with Brad Anderson (“The Machinist”) onboard to direct.

Heat Vision reports :

Beckinsale will play the title character of Eliza, a patient at a mental institution in which the inmates have taken over and are posing as doctors. She becomes the object of affection of a newly arrived Harvard Medical School grad who has no idea of the topsy-turvy world he just entered.

A June 21 production start date in Bulgaria is penciled in.

Among the producers, some guy named Mel Gibson.
