Hercules 3D

Kellan Lutz (“Immortals”, “Twilight”) will play the title character in director Renny ‘Cliffhanger’ Harlin’s new 3D take on the mythical warrior, fellow. Millennium Films is behind the film, one of several projects in the works at present – another stars Dwayne Johnson – about ‘Hercules’. (Screen Daily)

“Back to the Future” alum Claudia Wells and “Summer School” star Dean Cameron will reunite for the first time since ’80s TV series “Fast Times” (in which she played Linda and he played Spicoli, respectively) for the psychological thriller, described as a cross between “American Psycho” and “Drive”. Christopher Showerman and Rachael Cairns are already onboard the film. (Kickstarter)


Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (“Lost”, “Bullet to the Head”) has joined the cast of Paul W.S Anderson’s film. The movie “is set in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in A.D. 79 and tells the tale of an enslaved gladiator — played by Harington — who faces the tyrant (Kiefer Sutherland) who years before murdered his family and now threatens to steal his lover (Emily Browning). Jared Harris, Carrie-Anne Moss and Joe Pingue round out the cast.” (Variety)


“Angel” star J.August Richards will reunite with Joss Whedon on the TV legend’s latest series. His role is being kept under wraps (Nick Fury, perhaps?!). (TV Line)

The Muppets… Again

Usher has a cameo in the upcoming sequel to “The Muppets”; details about his scene and the character aren’t known, but it’s said the sequence was shot on the streets of London somewhere. (Bleeding Cool)
