1. Tracy Letts has been upped to a regular on Showtime’s “Homeland”. The actor, who makes his debut in the upcoming 3rd season, will play “Sen. Andrew Lockhart, the powerful, authoritative, and commanding Committee Chairman asking tough questions as the government’s investigation begins in the wake of the horrific terror attack that decimated the U.S. intelligence apparatus, and prompted a global manhunt for the world’s most wanted terrorist — Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis).” (Deadline)

2. Robert Schwentke is in talks to direct “The Finest Hours”, set in 1952, it tells of how “the Coast Guard attempts a dramatic rescue after two oil tankers collide off the coast of Cape Cod.” (Deadline)

3. Fox has snapped up “Seven Wonders”, ”a book proposal about the seven wonders of the world that is being eyed as a summer action/adventure film.” This is the first project for the newly formed RatPac Entertainment – the venture that joined James Packer and Brett Ratner. (Deadline)

8. Arnold Schwarzenegger says ‘those sequels’ he’s attached to are still in the writing stage. “We’re writing [Terminator 5] now. There are three projects being written that involve me. One is Terminator 5, the other is a Conan movie that Universal is doing and there’s the sequel to Twins, which is called Triplets. We’ll all look quite different in that. The third triplet is Eddie Murphy, so figure that one out.” (Metro)
