Swede Jesper Ganslandt (“The Ape”) will make his English-language debut with “Mission : Blacklist”, the action thriller set to star Robert Pattinson and based on the true story of an agent who set out to capture Saddam Hussein.

The film is based on the 2008 nonfiction book “Mission: Black List #1 – The Inside Story Of The Search For Saddam Hussein – As Told By The Soldier Who Masterminded His Capture” which tells of how young military interrogator Eric Maddox spearheaded a mission to catch the nasty.

When the project was announced at Cannes in 2012, Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire was mentioned as director.

Filming is due to start in the Fall.
