Stallone may reprise Rambo for new TV series

Sylvester Stallone may reprise John Rambo for the small screen.

The “First Blood” star is in talks to play the veteran soldier in a new TV series based on the character Stallone played in three films.

The series, to be produced by Entertainment One, Avi Lerner and his Nu Image company, will be shopped to international and domestic networks.

“Rambo fans cover all demographics and we’re confident that we’ll quickly find this series a home”, says eOne TV CEO John Morayniss.

Avi Lerner, who has worked with Stallone a couple of times now, says “I’m excited by the prospect of collaborating again with my good friend Sly for an encore in this next phase of the Rambo legacy.”

Stallone had previously said he was interested in making a fifth “Rambo” film, to follow 2008’s “Rambo”.
