The Boy Next Door

Jennifer Lopez, Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions are onboard the Rob Cohen (“xXx”) directed micro-budgeted flick. Lopez “will play a single mom who becomes attracted to the teenage boy who moves in next door and befriends her son. She starts and ends the romance, but he doesn’t let go so easily.” (Variety)

Fast & Furious 7

Nathalie Emmanuel (“Game of Thrones”) will be part of Dominic Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) crew in the next petrol-fueled sequel. The James Wan directed movie, said to be a ‘revenge’ thriller, pits Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker and others against villains Jason Statham and Kurt Russell. (Deadline)

Crimson Peak

Tom Hiddleston (“The Avengers”) has replaced Benedict Cumberbatch on the Guillermo Del Toro directed flick. “Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam also star in the gothic horror pic about a woman who discovers that her new husband is not who he claims to be.” (Deadline)

22 Jump Street

Amber Stevens (“The Fast and the Furious : Tokyo Drift”) will play Jonah Hill’s love interest in the upcoming “21 Jump Street” sequel. Schmidt (Hill) meets the chick on the college bohemian art scene he’s infiltrating. (Variety)

The Fault in our Stars

Willem Dafoe’s playing “reclusive author Peter Van Houten” in the Shailene Woodley-starrer about “two cancer-stricken teens who strike up a romantic relationship as they face an uncertain future.” The “Spider-Man” actor joins a cast that also includes Laura Dern and Sam Trammell. (The Wrap)
