With “Once Upon A Time” doing so well, no surprise to hear more fairytale faves are headed to the small screen.

Deadline says Disney, ABC Studios and Mandeville Films are bringing ‘Hunchback of Notre Dame’ to TV. The series, “Esmeralda”, is a limited/event series penned by “Snow White and the Huntsman” co-writer Evan Daugherty.

Esmeralda is a period drama that re-imagines The Hunchback Of Notre Dame through the eyes of beautiful Gypsy Esmeralda.

The last time the ‘Hunchback’ graced the screen was some 20 years ago via Disney’s classic animated feature.
