Everywhere-man Michael Fassbender, as well as Aussies Ben Mendelsohn (“The Place Beyond the Pines”) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (“The Road”) have boarded the Kiwi western “Slow West”.

Inside Film says tyro filmmaker John Maclean, formerly a member of Scottish musical group The Beta Band, will make his feature directorial debut on the project.

The Daily Mail, who has the news on Mendelsohn and Smit Mc-Phee, says Maclean has a history with Fassbender, making him an easier than usual attachment here; they worked on the Bafta award-winning short film ”Pitch Black Heist” together.

Not many details on this one yet.
